Some members of LEPAMAP-PRODIS attended the Summer School on Nanocellulose, hosted by Glyco@Alps, in Grenoble (France).
From July 9th to 12th, some members of the LEPAMAP-PRODIS research group attended the Summer School on Nanocellulose, organized by Grenoble INP-Pagora. It was a fantastic opportunity to dive deep into the world of nanocellulose and explore its vast potential, including production, characterization, applications and industrial examples.
LEMAPAP-PRODIS counted with five PhD candidates participating in the school:
Andre Mazega, who works on the understanding of different variables and parameters affecting TEMPO-mediated oxidation and the real-time monitoring of this reaction for its industrial deployment.
Samanta Sam, who is currently pursuing her PhD in active paper-based packaging coated with modified nanocellulose and greenly synthesized nanoparticles.
Giovana Signori, implementing machine learning models for the prediction of nanocellulose properties and its applications in papermaking and wastewater treatment.
Laia Vilaseca, an industrial PhD candidate working at ALIER, who works on the development of advanced papers for building materials and products.
Gabriela Bastida, who investigates the potential of oxalic acid-treated nanocellulose for environmental applications.
Marc Delgado-Aguilar also participated in the Summer School as invited lecturer, together with other renowned researchers in the field.
