Industrial PhD
Pursuing a PhD degree within an industrial framework offers highly valuable opportunities to candidates. At the moment, there is a call for an Industrial PhD programme with the renowned company Kave Home on the industrial side and LEPAMAP PRODIS - Universitat de Girona on the academic side. You can find the call and more details here.

The candidate is required to have a university degree and master's degree (240 + 60 ECTS) or an equivalent qualification. Degrees in engineering, materials, biotechnology, or related fields will be highly valued.

The project is entitled Packaging as a key element for optimizing final product development, production, distribution, and commercialization processes at Kave Home. It aims to develop and validate, on an industrial scale, advanced strategies for packaging optimization, encompassing both the materials used, structural designs, and associated processes. These strategies will be addressed through three main pillars:
-
Improving the physical and mechanical performance of the packaging, including impact, compression, and water resistance.
-
Studying and reducing the environmental footprint, considering the complete life cycle of materials and the reuse of components.
-
Intelligent standardization, with the goal of reducing the number of references and formats without sacrificing adaptability.
